Director of Fund Development

Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Chief Executive Officer
- Oversee and lead the development and implementation of BGCHH fundraising strategy
- Create, develop and deliver a fundraising program that includes major gifts, annual funds, corporate sponsorships,
- Supervise the Fundraising & Communications Coordinator
- Direct the daily activities of the fundraising team
- Set priorities, goals and budgets
- Research and identify potential donors
- Create and deliver a phased, multiyear strategy for an individual giving program through direct mail, online
- Provide strategic and operational direction to fundraising planning, identification of potential sources for external
- Lead donation campaigns throughout the year
- Develop and implement a corporate giving program and Stewardship/Fundraising plan
- Develop and implement a donor recognition and cultivation program
- Manage and foster a relationship with donors, and implement a process with key donors
- A commitment to the Clubs mission, Vision and Core Values
- Excitement about building sustainable funding for our Club and creating a multiyear, fundraising strategy, for our
- organization
- Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles and fundraising experience
- Excellent leadership skills with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- An understanding of advanced fund development, planning and regulatory issues
- Postsecondary education in areas such as Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or
- related field
- At least three years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience in a notforprofit
- organization
- Strong marketing and public relations experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, including
- government agencies
- Financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent
- An acceptable police record check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Valid First Aid/ CPR Level C*
