    Registered Counselling Therapist * - Lifemark Health Group

    Status: Casual, Part Time
    Schedule: 16 hours / week
    Location Options: 2 days Fully Virtual, or 1 day Virtual and 1 day On-Site @ Lifemark Physiotherapy Tantallon (5110 St. Margaret's Bay Road Suite 103 in Upper Tantallon, NS)

    Lifemark Health Group is seeking a personable and confident Registered Counselling Therapist* to join our awesome team at our Lifemark Physiotherapy Tantallon clinic

    Your day:

  • Provide clients with assessment, consultation and psych educational services
  • Active participation in regular team conferences involving client and members of the interdisciplinary teams
  • Communicate effectively with staff members, clients, employers, referral sources, family members and other counsellors
  • Psychological case management input and direction to the therapy teams pertaining to initial assessment, treatment planning, clients' progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions and problem solving, and discharge planning
  • Quality reporting and communication
  • Orientation and mentoring to assist other team members to effectively manage clients' psycho-social issues

    • Qualifications/Experience:

  • Master's in counseling or clinical psychology
  • 2 years + experience
  • 1 year of experience in a Return-to-Work setting
  • Professional registration with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT)*
  • Ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients to self-manage
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other correspondence
  • Ability to communicate using different styles and methods to suit individual clients and situations
  • Experience with chronic pain, and/or post concussive symptoms is an asset.

    • Registered Social Workers in the Province of Nova Scotia will also be considered.
