In this role you will:


  • Provide assistance to supervising Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists for treatment of Senior Wellness residents
  • Assist PT's/OT's in performing various components of the resident's treatment plan
  • Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist
  • May conduct exercise classes
  • Set up, prepare, and maintain equipment, and clean up after resident's treatments (such as hot packs, ice, electrical modalities)
  • Ensure that the gym and treatment area, if applicable, are safe and tidy
  • Maintain regular ongoing communication with the PT/OT regarding any changes or concerns about a resident's status or treatment interventions
  • Complete "Daily Treatment Records" as directed by the PT/OT

Successful applicants will possess:


  • Rehabilitation Assistant/Exercise Therapist/Physical Education academic background
  • Previous experience working within a Seniors' care setting is preferred
  • Excellent communicator
  • Reliable and independent
  • A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check


Effective
November 1, 2021 all Lifemark employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or to agree to undergo regular antigen testing when necessary.

Full vaccination occurs 14 days following the second dose of a
Health Canada approved vaccine.
