We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst with proven experience in Real Estate and acquisitions to join our exciting organization.


Reporting to the Development Manager, the Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in our organization by analyzing financial data, creating robust financial models, and generating comprehensive reports.

The primary focus of this role is to evaluate investment opportunities and provide essential support for our real estate development initiatives, ultimately guiding well-informed business decisions.

The Financial Analyst must possess a high level of analytical, technical, and organizational skills to excel in this dynamic position.


List of Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for effective financial planning.
  • Utilize key operational data, statistics, and financial information to build strategic data models projecting the financial implications of various Ferrow Real Estate and Orchard Row projects and business cases.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to provide valuable insights for critical business decisions.
  • Review drawings, schedules, and market metrics, skillfully incorporating these inputs into various proformas, cash flow projections and analyses.
  • Collaborate with appraisers and external consultants, lenders and financial institutions to obtain required reports and insights.
  • Prepare and maintain various financial, management, and investor relations reports.
  • Assist in the placement and administration of loans and equity partnerships.
  • Stay updated with developments in real estate and financial markets through continuous research and monitoring.
  • Provide financial analysis and support to operational units.
  • Actively participate in Finance Department initiatives and special projects.
  • Support the team in conducting due diligence and feasibility studies for new development land acquisition ventures.
  • Conduct industry and competitive research to identify land opportunities that align with our criteria and metrics.
  • Gather and provide research data on property searches, including zoning, density, design guidelines, parkland dedications, etc.
  • Prepare necessary monthly and quarterly reports and maintain accurate records for the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data for real estate forecasting.
  • Create compelling presentations for various meetings throughout the acquisitions process.
  • Prepare investor reports and presentations as required.
  • Assist Development Manger with construction draws for the lender.
  • Identify, analyze and support the pursuit of brokerage opportunities
  • Assist in reviewing legal documents such as leases, loans, and engagement letters

List of Key Qualifications

  • Highly motivated selfstarter who takes initiative and anticipates needs.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fastpaced working environment and able to handle diverse workloads.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment with limited guidance.
  • Excellent time management, organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competency and experience with social media marketing.
  • Degree or diploma in Finance, Real Estate, Land Economics or other related education.
  • 25 years of experience working in a brokerage or similar organization analyzing data, creating financial models and generating reports.
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to work autonomously and well as part of a team.
  • Proven selfstarter with ability to think logically and problem solve effectively.
  • Advanced computer skills and indepth knowledge of relevant software such as the complete MS Office Suite
  • Intermediate Excel Skills (ability to use various formulas, lookups, pivot tables etc. and maintain complex spreadsheets required), Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Deadlineoriented and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Holding a CPA, CFA, or another relevant professional designation is an asset.
