Job Number:49074**- Perform day-to-day onsite operation and participate in a 24x7 call-out schedule.

  • Plan and design network infrastructure to meet the organization's needs for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and migrations as required.
  • Document and maintain all network solutions, including a high number of remote network locations.
  • Ongoing enhancement and tuning of the network leveraging its capabilities to provide solutions for new initiatives.
  • Establish network performance standards and set up performance monitoring and alerting.
  • Provides consultation on network infrastructure and data security to support new development that meets EPS business requirements.
  • Implement and manage virtual private networks (VPNs) for secure remote access.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.
  • Evaluating resolutions, analyzing trends and developing and implementing measures to prevent future problems.
  • Providing analytical operational support including diagnosing and troubleshooting network issues.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the IT Branch to ensure that all issues are addressed in a timely manner and proper coordination is carried out to minimize disruption of the corporate network.
  • Provide network LAN support, patching of fiber/ copper network cables using specialized tools.
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and procure network equipment, software, and services.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand network requirements and expectations.

Qualifications:


  • Degree in a related discipline and four (4) years relevant experience

OR Post Secondary Diploma in a related discipline and five (5) years relevant experience
-
OR 1-year relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP/ CCIE, or equivalent certifications and seven (7) years relevant experience.

  • Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE certification would be an asset.
  • Progressive experience designing, monitoring, and securing IP networks over Ethernet, copper, fibre, and wireless environments.
  • Progressive technical experience in terms of Management, configuration and deployment with Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewalls
  • Experience working with Cisco routers and datacenter switches, experience working on technologies like SDWAN, DMVPN as well as OSPF and BGP routing protocols.
  • Must have experience working in term of Management and deployment of Cisco 9000 series switches with ACI technology.
  • Must have experience working on network hardening/ Monitoring by using Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center/ DNA
  • Managing/ deployment of Cisco Wireless Infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies.
  • Familiar with Network load balancer like F5 or NetScaler.
  • Familiar with python and ansible for automation and integration with network devices.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure network resilience and data integrity.
  • Able to perform the physical requirements of the job, including lifting upto 35 kilograms.
  • Applicants may be tested.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
