Position Summary:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze product, raw materials and packaging materials using established techniques.
• Responsible for working with production personal to provide quality assurance
• Facilitate quality investigations and report appropriately
• Troubleshoot analytical instruments and perform general maintenance on lab equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
• Generate reports as required.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety policies
• Ensure Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all departments are being followed

Job Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelors degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biochemistry, Science and Engineering
  OR:
• Saskatchewan Polytechnique Biological Sciences Diploma
• 13 years in a quality function within the Food & Beverage industry is an asset
• Experience working in a HACCP environment or another Food Safety System is considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before employees of our organization. Ability to write Standard Operating Procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office tools
• Highly skilled in data collection and analysis to facilitate effective problem solving
• Well organized selfstarter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Able to work shift work.

$32.84 per hour
