Location:
Kincardine, Walkerton

Applications are currently being accepted for a Temporary Part Time Multi-Site Echocardiographer for the Kincardine site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre with shifts also assigned to the Walkerton site.

Weekend assignments required.

This temporary position is not to exceed August 2025.

If the position is going to end prior to August 2025 or exceed August 2025 two weeks' notice will be provided.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:_

Current or pending registration with CMRITO
Current registration with Sonography Canada or ARDMS considered an asset
Recent Cardiac ultrasound experience in a hospital environment considered an asset
Adult cardiac ultrasound experience as a registered cardiac sonographer: pediatric or fetal echocardiography considered an asset
Able to maintain confidentiality
Advanced Computer skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of functions
Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff
Demonstrated ability in the following competencies: initiative/selfmanagement, problem solving and accountability
Able to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
Positive advocate for professional body of Echocardiography
Must be able to provide the flexibility and availability to meet the needs of the department
Knowledge of and adherence to SBGHC Core Values (Leadership, Integrity, Excellence, Compassion, Accountability and Teamwork)
Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at SBGHC through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes
Recent satisfactory performance with demonstrated excellence in attendance required
Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and infection control principles
IV training/ Echo Contrast training an asset
