At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently.

Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture.

Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.


The Role:


Location:
Toronto, Ontario

Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Identify right set of UI frameworks, UI libraries, layout and API interfaces
  • Define standards and best practices
  • Create POCs to evaluate tech stack, frameworks and approaches
  • Coordination with offshore teams
  • Help team in deriving the right solution
  • Working in a highly collaborative environment in Agile Sprint model
  • Supporting the backend team to resolve UI dependencies and handover to Offshore and guide / advise the client teams & offshore teams in UI best practices implementation

Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
  • 8 to 10 years' experience in the design, development and use of component based UI frameworks. Additional consideration for experience working with high volume ecommerce websites.
  • Expert level understanding of the HTML DOM and underlying event model.
  • Strong knowledge in JavaScript, ES6/Typescript, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap OR foundation UI, REST, Jest/Enzyme, SSR (Next JS), GraphQL.
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites knowledge & working experience is preferred but not mandatory. For instance, implementing UI rules in AEM Components etc.,
  • Grid, Typography Rules & Branding style Implementation experience is needed.
