Associate, Proposal Management
What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality written proposal submissions which reinforce and increase the success rate of the business development activities of RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS).
- New business opportunities with prospects;
- Crosssell opportunities with existing clients;
- Client retention requirements, including due diligence requests where required;
- Consultant education requirements.
In addition, you will be working directly with the broader Business Development, Client Success, Marketing, Product, Client Operations and Technology teams within RBC I&TS, and across other RBC divisions as appropriate, to develop accurate, well-positioned narratives with consistent tone of voice and clear visual brand alignment across all client-facing content.
What will you do?
- Review and analyze client proposals to determine key project requirements.
- Interface with Business Development and Client Success leads to ensure responses meet client / prospect / consultant requirements, reflecting RBC I&TS' strategic direction and providing consistency with respect to competitive positioning, tone of voice and visual brand standards.
- Incorporate all information into presentable, professional, well written and highly competitive proposals which address client needs while highlighting RBC I&TS' organizational strengths.
- Ensure all new responses are of the highest quality and are updated to the central database following curation and approval.
- Monitor and research general industry, regulatory, macroeconomic and fintech trends in order to clearly position RBC I&TS as the intelligent asset servicing provider of choice.
- Track, analyze and assess the effectiveness of the proposal and business development activities being undertaken by RBC I&TS and competitors to support continual enhancement of our outputs.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- BA or BSc in business, or other relevant degree.
- Sound knowledge of the financial services and securities industry.
- Extensive experience in curating and delivering compelling and articulate written proposal submissions.
- Demonstrated at conducting appropriate market and industry research and synthesizing findings to support and enhance written arguments.
- Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Nice-to-have
- Proficiency in French considered an asset
- MBA, CFA or postgraduate in business or finance.
- Proven curiosity regarding evolving investment industry trends.
- Experience using Qvidian database.
- Publishing experience
