    Your day-to-day

    • Ensure that all on-site activities are conducted in accordance with applicable safety standards;
    • Manage all operations and maintenance activities for balance-of-plant (BOP) assets within established operating guidelines;
    • Identify and engage contractors for the delivery of BOP maintenance;
    • Ensure that BOP maintenance is conducted in accordance with WECC standards;
    • Complete or assist with WECC compliance reports for Owner and liaise with the internal compliance manager as required;
    • Ensure compliance with site environmental regulations pertaining to hazardous waste, oil spill prevention, avian studies, and wildlife conservation;
    • Ensure that wind turbines are operated and maintained in accordance with OEM and applicable industry standards;
    • Ensure that turbine, civil and other issues are monitored, tracked, and accurately reported;
    • Engage appropriate internal and external resources to diagnose and rectify performance and reliability issues;
    • Ensure that access to the site is maintained to allow OEM access to each Wind Turbine Generator site location;
    • Maximize performance and ensure value retention for the facility;
    • Oversee the facility's operations and ensure that maintenance-related activities are aligned with the performance requirements outlined in related contracts;
    • Liaise with suppliers to ensure that any identified warranty deficiencies are rectified appropriately;
    • Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports in accordance with operational, safety, regulatory and environmental performance requirements;
    • Represent the company as needed with grid and off-taker entities and in landowner and community relations (Chetwynd and other local communities);
    • Work closely with vendors and other third parties as needed;
    • Conduct and report on periodic meetings with contractors and partners;
    • Periodically cooperate with other area Site Managers for vacation coverage and assistance, as needed;
    • Additional duties as required.

    Your skills, our requirements

    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience/training in power generation,
    • NFPA 70e training preferred;
    • Knowledge of WCB regulation;
    • Strong problem-solving skills;
    • Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision;
    • Ability to multi-task in a complex and dynamic environment;
    • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills;
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
    • Be in good physical condition, able to carry out physical tasks and work outdoors in adverse weather conditions;
    • Operations Management (preferably in the renewables field);
    • MS Office Suite;
    • Wind turbine technician designation or equivalent trade experience;
    • Working with multiple stakeholders;
    • Operations/maintenance of High Voltage systems;
    • Road construction and maintenance experience would be an asset;
    • Forest Fire operational experience would be an asset.

    Additional considerations

    • The position will be based in Chetwynd, BC.
    • This position is a O4 level with a base salary of $100,000 - $150,000, exclusive of fringe benefits and/or potential bonuses.
