Job Duties:
Guest Service Agent

  • Check in/out guests in a professional manner.
  • Review "special service" requests for arrivals.
  • Answer inquiries either by telephone or "face to face" to provide current and accurate information to the guest.
  • Process guest folios, collect payment and issue invoice upon payment.
  • Process HVR gift cards.
  • Write up all "wakeup" call requests on specified form and enter on switchboard.
  • Operate switchboard, direct calls and give information and take messages.
  • Count and balance cash float and handle daily transaction procedures.
  • Assigning rooms and blocking to accommodate special services.
  • Must have knowledge of the resort's facilities.
  • Maintain files (daily paperwork), keys, gift shop items and other front desk supplies as required.
  • Create and post inhouse amenities.
  • Working knowledge of the safes used by wedding guests.
  • Basic knowledge of reservations to create a "walk in" reservation.

Requirements:
Guest Service Agent

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Hospitality, diploma is an asset
- (1) year of experience as a Front Desk Agent or customer service is preferred

  • Previous hospitality experience is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast pace environment
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing

  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

  • Must be able to multi task.
  • Must be able to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests.
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends & holidays

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Morning shift
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mono, ON L9W 5X7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (required)
