About the faculty/service:
Office of the Vice-President, International and Francophonie

The Office of the Vice-President, International and Francophonie oversees the design, coordination and implementation of internationalization strategies across uOttawa.

This includes establishing international private and public sector partnerships, supporting the internationalization of research and curricula, and expanding international opportunities for the uOttawa community.

The Office is also mandated to carry the University's vision for the Francophonie and to promote its leadership role within the Ontario, Canadian and international Francophonie and its bodies, as set out in the University's new strategic plan, Transformation 2030.


Position purpose:


Reporting to the Lead, Internationalization and New Initiatives, responsible for managing, implementing, and coordinating the operation of internationalization programs and projects.


Coordinates the running of projects and initiatives, as well as the integrated management of programs with key partners and project teams, to ensure that the University of Ottawa community benefits from an inclusive internationalization experience.


Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with members of the University community and with external partners to foster learning and engagement in initiatives that have a global impact.

Promotes emerging, innovative internationalization practices.

Responsible for managing, implementing, and coordinating the operation of internationalization programs and projects.


Coordinates the running of projects and initiatives, as well as the integrated management of programs with key partners and project teams, to ensure that the University of Ottawa community benefits from an inclusive internationalization experience.


Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with members of the University community and with external partners to foster learning and engagement in initiatives that have a global impact.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Responsible for conducting, updating, and coordinating internationalization initiatives through operational and project management of the programs and projects assigned to the incumbent.

As such, ensures the integrated management of internationalization initiatives, projects, and activities with key partners and project teams.


Plans, coordinates, and oversees the program activities by ensuring high quality services, encouraging participation, and promoting the visibility of programs during these events.

Develops tools to ensure that students are well-prepared to participate in events and activities.


Manages the programs' operations and current activities, notably by analyzing work processes and procedures and by suggesting improvements and initiatives to optimize the managerial efficiency of the programs' activities.

Stays in regular contact with beneficiaries to ensure that the program operations meet their expectations and needs, and coordinates the drafting and revision of content and key messages used in communications.


What you will bring:

Extensive knowledge of principles related to program management and integrated project management normally acquired through university education or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

At least five years' experience in a similar position
