    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Float Supervisor (Licensed Child Care) provides coverage and support for Macaulay's child care centres in absence of the supervisor and when extra support is required. This position is accountable to lead, plan, organize and coordinate the day-to-day activities and operations of Child Care Centres and/or programs. Mentor and lead staff to enable the delivery of high-quality programs and services to children, youth and families in a family friendly, safe, integrated and supportive environment. All programs must reflect and be consistent with the values, mission and vision of the agency. The Float Supervisor (Licensed Child Care) reports to the Director, Early Learning and Care.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    - Provide leadership and facilitate planning, implementation, and execution of programs
    - Implement new integrated projects or strategies
    - Provide leadership and support to enable staff contribution
    - Coordinate and implement community outreach and promotional activities
    - Evaluate referrals of children with extra support needs
    - Implement parent engagement strategies
    - Advocate for children and families
    - Orient new staff, volunteers, and students
    - Ensure compliance with licensing regulations
    - Manage program enrollment
    - Maintain confidentiality
    - Manage Collective Agreements
    - Ensure Occupational Health & Safety compliance
    - Participate in management committees
    - Comply with agency policies
    - Prepare operating statistical data
    - Ensure maintenance and confidentiality of files
    - Ensure timely investigation and reporting of incidents
    - Conduct annual staff evaluations
    - Collaborate with teams for events

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    - Bachelor's Degree or in Early Childhood Education with 3 years' experience
    - Experience in a leadership role
    - Strong knowledge of child development and related acts
    - Excellent communication skills
    - Experience with children with extra support needs
    - Ability to build effective partnerships

    SALARY: Float Supervisor Salary Scale (starting at $76,545-$89,940 per annum) with Competitive Benefits Package, Defined Pension Plan, and paid time off entitlements
