Commercial & Industrial Regional Sales Manager

Key Accountabilities

  • Consistently engages with customers, vendors and internal account management team to ensure sales and margin targets are met;
  • Establish and implement strategic initiatives (Market, Product, Customer to further profitable growth of Division;
  • Work cooperatively with teammates in the administration of sales transactions;
Duties

  • Ensure all job functions are performed in accordance with the NCS Intl Standard Practice Instruction (SPI) manual;
  • Territory coverage is Northern Ontario which is defined as anything north of Lake Nipissing. Includes major cities such as North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins and Sault Ste Marie but excludes Thunder Bay;
  • Responsible for achieving Commercial & Industrial divisional sales & margin targets for Northern Ontario market;
  • Leads the collaboration with account management team to convert prospect customers into customers;
  • Builds strong relationships with senior management at all key customers;
  • Entertain key customers;
  • Work closely with key customers to develop meaningful strategies;
  • Promotes Noramco products and services with existing and prospect customers;
  • Provide all outside sales support to drive sales with new and existing customers Northern Ontario territory;
  • Drive sales direction on areas of focus;
  • Identify and help develop internal/external opportunities to further enable profitable sales
- growth of the department. Opportunities include but are not limited to product, customer, processes, resources, etc;

  • Build strong relationship with key vendors;
  • Assist with new vendor development with the goal of adding complimentary products to Noramco's existing product portfolio;
  • Responsible for input on commercial decisions related to strategic vendor alignment and negotiations on project business;
  • Responsible for input as required on commercial decisions related to customer quotes (pricing, margin, terms & conditions, etc);
  • Collaborate with peers as required with necessary continuous improvement initiatives to ensure best in class customer service;
  • Collaborate with purchasing on market pricing and where vendor support is required to help drive Commercial & Industrial division sales;
  • Works with Regional Sales Manager to develop and execute on all Commercial & Industrial business expansion strategies (Products, Geographies and Markets);
  • Keeps open line of communication with Regional Sales Manager on all significant successes and challenges;
  • Participate in all department meetings;
  • Represent Noramco by attending industry functions;
  • Continuously develops knowledge of product to remain uptodate with various product lines (including vendor training) and industry changes;
  • Performs any other duties as required by the Regional Sales Manager;

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Post-Secondary education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Previous Sales/Inside Sales experience is highly beneficial
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop longterm client relationships
  • A highly professional approach to business
  • Exceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail
  • Technically proficient to quickly learn and understand products
  • Ability to develop quotations & project bid packaging / pricing / presentations
  • Knowledge of electrical industry in general would be assets
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and a sense of team spirit
