Join our team as a
Community Support Worker working at our
Tsawwassen Connections location in Tsawwassen.

This permanent full-time role works Monday to Friday (8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) at a salary range between $ plus benefits, including Extended Health and Dental and participation in the Municipal Pension Plan.

This position requires union membership.

About the Opportunity

As a full-time Community Support Worker, you will work 35 hours per week at our community inclusion site in Surrey.

You will be actively engaging supported individuals to live a fulfilling and independent life. You are a motivated and personable individual with a passion to deliver person-centered supports.

This means you could be helping an individual to discover more of their community, learn new life-skills such as cooking, physical fitness activities, art classes, or seeking employment.

Please note that this position will have a strong focus on supporting persons served with seeking and securing employment. You assist with their physical, social, emotional, educational and recreational needs.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Following an individual care plan,
Supporting individuals to find meaningful employment. This means working with persons served to uncover interests, motivations and skills and proactively reaching out to potential employers.
Developing monthly plans and facilitating activities based on client's interests,
Documenting activities and observations in the client's file and communication log,
Physically assist individuals with activities such as swimming and walking.

Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to provide personal care including toileting and grooming.
