Broadband Maintenance Inc. is a Telecommunication Construction Company in the Ottawa and surrounding area. We are currently seeking
MDU Cable Technicians to join our team. We offer extensive training, a competitive wage as well as a comprehensive benefits package.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Install fibre optic, coax and data cables in new and existing buildings
  • Use portable hand tools, including concrete drills
  • Install EMT and PVC conduits
  • Work with fibre optic cable, while following manufacturers specifications
  • Read blueprints and construction plans
  • Troubleshoot cabling and conduit issues and communicate issues effectively

Requirements:


  • Valid G license with a clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Familiarity with building and electrical code.
  • Follow directions and perform duties assigned.
  • Follow company and job site health and safety practices.
  • Capable of performing manual labor tasks.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Standing, bending, lifting, and ladder use for extended periods of time.
  • Working at heights.
  • Use of common handheld power tools.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Selfdisciplined, motivated, and organized.

Pay:
$22.00-$26.00 per hour
