Job Description:

Position Purpose


This role is responsible for the financial management and delivery of the multi-year business transformation program in Canada America to deliver step-change improvements in profits and cash flows while delivering on non-financial goals including sustainability and safety.

This individual will lead the Canadian regional transformation office financial activities to assess, validate, and reconcile strategic business transformation plans spanning all functions of the business to deliver improved cash and profit performance.

This individual will also support in identifying new transformational ideas, and support the business in building the financial business case.

A key component of this role, will be continuing to monitor the opportunities and risks that may arise through all initiatives within Canada.


This position will leverage strong business acumen with exceptional finance and accounting skills to regularly validate and reconcile initiative and function level transformation impacts into our financial statements including both forecasts and actual performance.

Responsibilities include continuous assessment of opportunities and risks, ongoing forecasts, and actual performance along with recommended actions and adjustments to ensure successful transformation delivery.

This individual will be critical to ensuring transformation initiatives are accurately reconciled into business results and future plans to enable informed strategic and tactical decision making by leadership.

This role will also support the business in business deliverables such as:

  • Building Asset Recovery, and Transportation related financial metrics which will help solidify and improve business performance
  • Supports the 4year strategy process, inclusive of consolidation of reporting and presentation
  • Identifying opportunities in automation and process efficiencies across the finance, retail supply chain and business transformation functions
  • The financial impact of strategic business initiatives identified to drive performance and achieve forecast/ targets as measured by their outcome (strategy & business case review)
Major/Key Accountabilities

  • Quantify, reconcile, and forecast delivery of multiyear business transformation plans for improved profit and cash performance
  • Assess complex initiative
- and function-level contribution of transformation projects to underlying business financial performance

  • Identify short
- and mid-term financial risks and opportunities to enable informed decisions and actions across all areas of the business

  • Continuously collaborate with business FP&A function to manage and align transformation financial impacts and outlooks
  • Regularly provide business updates and insights on initiatives, investments, and financial returns
  • Collaborate regularly with FP&A team to provide latest view of transformation financial impacts
  • Leverage strong functional and interpersonal skills and internal network to assess variances to plan and identify root causes and trends
  • Provide insights, analysis, and outlooks to be used in regular clevel and board updates with clear and concise written and verbal communication
Authority/ Decision Making

  • As applicable and defined by the Brambles, Pallets and Regional LOA matrix
Challenges

  • Ability to work across different time zones and cultures with the local and global business
  • Navigating the complexity of working in a matrix structure

Qualifications:


  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting or in a relevant finance technical discipline
  • Minimum: Certified Accountant (e.g. CPA designation)
  • Bachelor's degree Finance or Accounting
  • Preferred: Master's Degree (e.g. Finance, Business Administration, Accounting)
Experience

  • 8+ years of multifunctional business experience, preferably for complex multinational businesses, with Supply Chain and financial expertise
  • Proven experience in change management programs initiatives
  • Indepth CHEP business knowledge required
Skills and Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of FP&A, Commercial and Supply Chain Finance processes
