With over 25 years of Telecommunications experience, Metro Infrastructure Inc is expanding and want you to join their team Metro is currently seeking to fulfill positions for Junior AutoCAD Drafters, within our Permitting group.

This position would be responsible for assisting the permitting team in creation of telecommunication Municipal drawings in AutoCAD for permits, while gaining the required skills to independently prepare new permit drawings within various municipalities.


This position requires close interaction with Intermediate to Senior CAD Technician, Field services, and design team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of project cycles.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under the direction of a Senior CAD Tech, prepare permit drawings (Municipal Consent drawings) using AutoCAD for underground Telecom Projects.
  • Prepare utility and city forms for circulation and approval
  • Track and Monitor assigned project milestones to complete projects in a timely manor to operate within budget
  • Follow provided guidelines to ensure client design and construction standards are maintained.
  • Update circulation conflicts and provide prompt resolutions
  • Work closely with Field Survey, designers, engineers, and client to establish workable solutions.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by your manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology, Civil or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Advanced user of AutoCAD 2D, efficient use of Paper Space / Model Space.
  • Understanding of Utility and Telecommunications.
  • Postsecondary education in Geographic Information Systems is an asset.
  • Familiar with Telecommunications design and permitting processes.
  • Strong, communication, interpersonal, problem solving and multitasking skills.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Capable of grasping new concepts easily.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to respond to changing priorities and handling multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Fluent in the English language, both written and oral

From $23.00 per hour
