OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Support the production team by providing expert quality control through conducting scheduled and regular testing and observation. Providing guidance and support when identifying and solving quality issues. Act as a customer liaison providing exceptional customer service and feedback when handling quality issues.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

Quality

  • Responsible to monitor all aspects of production, inclusive of the following:
  • Perform visible and regular inspections or verify that the work inspected and records maintained conform to the requirements of the customer and criteria set out by the company.
  • Conduct process audits ensuring that all records are maintained so as to conform to the requirements of the applicable standards and contract; customer or regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that welded and ablation assemblies conform to the relevant workmanship and acceptance criteria.
  • Assist in the deployment of new weld processes and equipment.
  • Monitor and assess welding and ablation output produced through the robotic process to determine the integrity, quality and other characteristics of then product.
  • Promptly and accurately conduct lab testing and sample preparation as per outlined schedule and work instructions.
  • Follow all inspection and testing procedures and requirements.

Other

  • Fulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the Canadian HSE Management Standards, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
  • Professionally represent ArcelorMittal while visiting customer and supplier locations and fully comply with their Health and Safety requirements while onsite.
  • Ensure QMS conforms to the requirements identified in IATF 16949 and AMTB Process Map.
  • Fulfill all responsibilities as identified in the Employee Handbook.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Travel requirement Minimal ( +/- 15%)

Education - level Other

Education - discipline Undergraduate or college degree (or equivalent) with a focus in quality is an asset.

Experience 0 - 5 years

Language English (Primary)
