We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team

  • Manage the Norclay quality system, actively engaged in equipment inspection, accuracy to print, validation of final product prior to shipping to customers. Identifying and reporting deficiencies through the appropriate channels for resolution and followup actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Validation of internal and external manufacturing methods for meeting system requirements.
  • Overall leadership of quality personnel.
  • Establishment of quality program, development of processes and procedures within the quality group.
  • Followup on quality deviations, deficiency resolution, identification of root cause, and non conformance reports within the business.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure quality system compliance.
  • Point of contact with auditor(s) in support of external audit(s).
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Maintain and update internal Quality Manual, Quality Control process and procedures.
  • Creates, modifies, supports, and retains inspection documents.
  • Development of Inspection Test Plans (ITP) including scheduling and hold points in manufacturing, in conjunction with internal and external shop personnel, inspectors, and vendors. Communicates internally/externally requirements with order.
  • Support Project Manager in creation of Quality documentation as required for all customers.
  • Implement quality control procedures, inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment.
  • Employ organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact the project. When obstacles arise, employ sound decisionmaking/problemsolving skills to resolve the issue.
  • Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with shop personnel, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Provide necessary interface with customer's inspectors on all aspects of quality.
  • Perform system verification on completed systems to assure correct installation per design specifications.
  • Maintain work performance records, inspection records and other related items and ensure correctness.
  • Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with quality program.
  • Lead point of contact with external auditor(s) for quality system compliance/verification audits.
  • Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated Safety policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION

Minimum 5 years experience in the manufacturing industry and ability to build QA program

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate others
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with strong knowledge in problem solving techniques
  • Highly effective communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability and willingness to implement Lean / Six Sigma initiatives and thinking
  • The proven ability to multitask and effectively handle a wide variety of Quality tasks Top of Form
  • Computer software: Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint); Bluebeam, use of the Internet. Ability to learn other software if required with companyprovided training.

Work Environment

  • Typical hours: 8am to 5pm work weeks

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Burlington, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
