This is a Carpenter position in the Structural Maintenance Department. Annual Facilities Grant positions are full-time roles that are renewed annually. The start date for this position is immediate.

We have an exciting opportunity in our Carpentry department! Reporting to the Manager of Structural Maintenance, the Carpenter will be involved in renovation, repair, and installation projects across over 140 school district sites. This position requires collaboration within a team and independent work to ensure top-quality results at various District facilities.
Experience and institutional facilities training are advantageous for this role.
Surrey Schools prioritizes work-life balance. The Carpenter will work 37.5 hours per week on afternoon shifts from Monday to Friday starting at 3 pm. Access to high-quality tools, equipment, vehicles, and the District Facilities Centre in Surrey is provided to the successful applicant.

This unionized position offers an hourly wage of $39.50 with a comprehensive benefits package. An increase in the hourly rate is expected in July 2024 based on the new collective bargaining agreement.
