    Description

    Under the direction of the Vice-President, Human Resources, the Compensation Manager will be the sole person responsible for direct compensation programs for all employees of the company (white and blue collar). The person will be responsible for the annual salary review cycle, the pay equity process, and the review and optimization of the salary structure.

    Assigned Responsibilities

  • Conduct benchmarks for all levels of positions in the company on a cyclical and ad hoc basis as needed;
  • Manage the annual compensation cycle, including analysis, cost projection and related communication and make recommendations to the company's management.
  • Evaluate the compensation and grades of the positions being created.
  • Review the bonus structures offered by the company, calculate employee bonuses, and make recommendations for future years.
  • Optimize the salary structure in collaboration with the external partner.
  • Ensures the analysis of market and internal fairness for all positions in recruitment.
  • Analyze the issues, implement processes and tools, determine priorities related to the total rewards strategy.
  • Plan, administer, train managers, and initiate the annual salary review process. (Both for corporate and industrial positions).
  • Recommend and work with the broker for other benefits offered.
  • Perform the audit to ensure the accuracy of data and processes.
  • Manage and maintain the HRIS clearing module – UKG and other tools for warehouse compensation.

    • Success Factors

  • Minimum experience: 5+ years of compensation experience, ideally in a white-collar and blue-collar context.
  • Technical education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance or related fields or equivalent training and experience;
  • Computer Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • UKG Expertise (an asset): Knowledge of the UKG Pro platform is an asset.
  • Analytical Mind : Self-starter and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and with strong analytical skills.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to simplify complex problems and redefine them from different perspectives.
  • Communication : Effectiveness and fluency in written, verbal and interpersonal communication at all levels of the company.
