  • JBH is a Clinical Education site in conjunction with McMaster University, and designated as an Academic Community Teaching Hospital. Its expanded campus includes the stateoftheart Michael Lee-Chin & Family Patient Tower, featuring a new Emergency Department, 295 acute inpatient beds, 9 new Operating Rooms and postanaesthetic care unit to support expanded medical, surgical and outpatient services.   • REPSONSIBILITIES:
  • Working in partnership with the Human Resources and Organizational Development teams, support the implementation of strategies to reinforce our culture and enhance organizational effectiveness including Learning and Development, Orientation, Onboarding, Core Curriculum, Recognition Programs and Employee Engagement.
  • System administration and elearning development for responsibilities for our LMS JLearn
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to plan, develop and implement Organizational Development & Learning initiatives, including advancing elearning
  • Conduct ongoing needs assessment to identify organizational learning needs and enhance employee, physician and volunteer engagement.
  • Develop and implement project plans for new Organizational Development & Learning programs or existing programs (project plans may be cross functional or involve third party vendors).
  • Monitor project plans to ensure milestones and timelines are achieved and ensure that resources identified within projects are apprised of their responsibilities.
  • Manage the Learning Assistance Program for employees to ensure approvals and educational reimbursements are processed within specified timeframes.
  • Participate on various committees and perform research, data collection and analysis on a variety of OD related services.
  • Work with consultants and vendors to analyze data and research trends on Organizational Development & Learning programs bringing new and innovative programs. Assists in the identification of vendor contracts for program delivery
  • Draft policy and procedures changes required for implementation

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree in Organizational Behaviour or Organizational Development related field or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Certificate or diploma in Adult Education, Organizational Behaviour or Organizational Development preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR/OD experience in organizational development and training/education. Healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of methodologies and approaches for; adult learning, learning transfer methods and evaluation, leadership development, change management, project management, performance management, and mentorship.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships and interact with others at all levels in the organization.
  • Welldeveloped facilitation and presentation skills for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate in a meaningful way
  • Experience managing enterprise wide projects from conception to implementation. Demonstrated experience planning and executing on projects efficiently and effectively
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Zoom, MS Teams, MS Forms (creation of surveys/reports), Slido, Survey Monkey, etc.
  • Advanced skills in excel to create pivot tables and spreadsheets to analyze and report on data.
