The Gardens of Peterborough are looking for
Resident Support Attendants to join our highly skilled health care team.

As a Resident Support Attendant (RSA), you will utilize your empathy and compassionate nature to positively influence and impact the lives of our residents in their activities of daily living.

You will assist in providing personal care services and maintaining a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff members at all times.


Responsibilities include:


  • Portering residents to onsite programming, dining rooms, family visits, and other areas as needed or requested
  • Assisting residents with the personal care required for daily living including bathing, dressing, functional mobility and mobilization, feeding, etc.
  • Providing handson compassionate services to residents with adherence to confidentiality, privacy, and a focus on maintaining dignity and encouraging independence.
  • Performing tasks such as bedmaking, changing linens, daily cleaning tasks, sanitizing touch points, etc.
  • Providing assistance with nutrition by: delivering snack carts, coaching and encouraging residents throughout meals, setting the dining room and clearing dishes as required.
  • Promoting and contributing to a positive teamwork environment
  • Communicating with residents, families, and visitors with professionalism and positivity, reflecting the mission and values of The Gardens of Peterborough at all times

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player
  • Prior experience working with older adults in a Long Term Care or Retirement environment is preferred
  • Must be available to work varied shifts, including alternating weekends and holidays
