Technical Trainer

Head Office (351 King Street East)


SUMMARY
The Technical Trainer educates people in the efficient use of various software products including
Microsoft Office and several accounting and construction products, helps develop and deliver technical
training programs, and helps others develop skills that will make them better professionals. The
interesting way. The goal is to contribute to the development of people's technical/IT skills to meet
organizational needs.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with devising technical training programs according to organizational requirements
  • Review and revise training materials and documentation and keep them up to date
  • Produce training schedules and classroom agenda
  • Determine course content according to objectives
  • Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.)
  • Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually
  • Arrange for and conduct onsite training when needed
  • Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.
  • Observe and evaluate results of training programs
  • Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements
  • Assist with the implementation of a new Learning Management System
  • Assist with the configuration and implementation of Ceridian Dayforce Learning
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills)
Experience with LMS environments required

  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce LMS environment preferred
  • Experience producing training videos
  • Proven experience as technical trainer
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Experience in designing technical course content
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitude.
  • Ability to present ideas in businessfriendly and userfriendly language.
  • Highly selfmotivated and directed.
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
  • Good analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities
