Description

Purpose:

This position provides a wide range of digital support and circulations services to the patrons in the Markham Library in person, by telephone and via library's on-line system.

Education:

Enrolled in an information technology, computer science, humanities, social sciences, or fine arts related program.

Experience:

Some experience working with audio and video recording equipment and media editing software (including Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Audacity, and OpenShot) for the purposes of media creation and manipulation.

Experience working with spreadsheets and collaborative software environments such as Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Google Calendar and Dropbox. Some experience providing customer services to the public is preferrable.

Skills:

Ability to deal calmly and courteously with the public and with difficult patrons. Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills to provide accurate information.

Additional Notes:

Ability to move materials and/or equipment up to 20lbs.
