We are currently looking for a
Integration Specialist to supplement our dynamic team in a
Permanent position.

Reporting to the IT Operations lead, you will be responsible for responsible for installation and support of the JBoss Fuse and Oracle Service Bus and related components following the Nova Scotia Power methodologies and architecture principles.

As a member of Nova Scotia Power's IT Team, you will join an energetic group of responsive professionals providing IT services to the Emera group of Canadian companies.

Answer customer questions regarding product usage.
Recognize and identify potential areas where existing business policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and make recommendations.
Perform project and operational tasks with good overall quality, while being able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Perform asset management tasks including technical reviews, development and testing of disaster recovery plans and business impact analysis.
Maintain relationships with business partners and system users.
Provide afterhours support.

You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

What skills will make you successful?

Furthermore, you will bring:

In depth working knowledge of Java and opensource software (JDK, J2EE, JQuery, JSON, RESTful & SOAP web services, Jenkins, Eclipse, ANT, and Junit).
Working knowledge of Oracle middleware products (Oracle SOA, Oracle OSB, Oracle data integrator and Managed file transfer).
Working knowledge with Java Messaging services.
Experience implementing secured web services using Oracle WSS security policies.
Administration v with Apache Tomcat, WebLogic.
Knowledge of Apache Camel, JBoss Fuse or other Enterprise Service Bus middleware.,
Understanding of integration patterns for SOA and Web Services.
Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
Collaboration experience with functional users and analysts to translate business and integration requirements into high performance serviceoriented integration solutions.

Bonus points:

Administration experience with Oracle Service Bus (OSB) 11g, including architecture experience would be considered an asset.
Administration experience with Oracle SOA Suite would be considered an asset.
Experience in design & development of an enterprise level SOA or middleware platform or key member of a development project with extensive SOA or Middleware dependencies would be considered an asset.

You must have the ability to work in a fluid team environment with five (5) years' experience in project delivery and middleware support involving multi-tiered systems integration.

Strong analytical, conceptual, and critical thinking skills are required as well as strong verbal, written and people skills. You are comfortable with various project management methodologies. You have the ability to develop trusting relationships, communicate effectively, and provide valued guidance to ensure success.
