    Description
    Construction Project Accountant

    A top Canadian multidisciplinary real estate development company is currently looking to add an experienced Construction Project Accountant to join their team You will be a key member of the High-Rise Residential Construction Team based at our Head Office located in North York, Ontario.

    The primary purpose of the Construction Project Accountant is to work alongside the Site Supervision Teams to process, track and monitor job cost expenses.

    Monitoring costs and contracts during the construction phase of designated High-Rise Residential projects;
    Obtaining approval subsequent to having checked contract amounts, purchase order requests, unit rates, quantities, calculated tax, extensions and arithmetic;
    Conduct budget Analysis and updates to ensure savings are realized and/or potential costs overruns are flagged;

    Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for Site Staff with respect to the ERP system – JDE EnterpriseOne – and provide training and support as required.

    At least 3 years of experience with Construction/Project accounting;
    Strong working knowledge of the construction process;
    Excellent experience with accounting systems, e.g. Vehicle is required as there is some travel to sites across the GTA.
