Dream is looking to welcome its latest Energy Management Intern for Fall or 12-Month Term)

Dream's Technical Services Team is currently looking for an Energy Management Intern to support our team and learn and grow, from September 2023 to April 2024 (or August 2024).

What will you do?
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on in this role:

  • Obtaining, normalizing, and compiling utility and energy savings data for use in yearly reports
  • Champion the creation and issuance of energy newsletters for assets
  • Cochampion the ongoing implementation of water metering on multiresidential assets
  • Collect data on assets and compile for submission in green building certification process
  • Take an active role in the development of project scope and annual budgets
  • Assist in the energy management department in completing reports and meeting deliverables
  • Provide portfolio and property level performance analysis
  • Assist in the deployment of Smart Building Technologies
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for management
  • Participate in meetings, prepare meeting minutes
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your supervisor

What type of experience do you have?


In addition to your collaborative mindset and positive attitude, you need to be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, with a focus on Energy Management.

The following are your keys to your success with us:

  • Being diligent and detail oriented when preparing deliverables
  • Working hard and smart to meet demands and deadlines at key times of pressure
  • Being a strong team player and supporting the achievement of collective goals
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office platforms, specifically Word and Excel
