Job Summary


The Project Manager is a key role within Information Systems, responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IS software development, data visualization, and 3rd-party integration projects.

This role primarily focuses on the coordination and management of sprint planning and execution processes, ensuring that appropriate teams meet their project goals and deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:

Sprint Planning:


  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Facilitate sprint planning meetings to define sprint goals, user stories, and tasks.
  • Work with development teams to estimate user story complexity and prioritize backlog items.
  • Create and maintain sprint backlogs and release plans.

Execution and Monitoring:


  • Oversee the daytoday activities of teams during sprints.
  • Monitor progress, identify issues, and proactively address roadblocks to ensure sprint goals are met.
  • Conduct daily standup meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the product is built according to design specifications and quality standards.

Team Coordination:


  • Foster collaboration and teamwork among crossfunctional teams, including developers, QA specialists, designers, and product owners.
  • Maintain clear communication channels and facilitate discussions to resolve conflicts and ensure alignment.

Risk Management:


  • Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work with teams to proactively address issues and adapt to changing project requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain project documentation, including sprint plans, user stories, and progress reports.
  • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on sprint progress, issues, and key metrics.

Process Improvement:


  • Continuously evaluate and improve the sprint planning and execution processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Implement best practices and agile methodologies to drive process improvements.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in project management, with a focus on agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
