We are looking for a to Security Guard join our Commercial team in Yellowknife, NT.

Reporting to the Commercial Property Manager, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas to monitor activities and implement security measures to protect property against theft, vandalism and fire.


Responsibilities:


  • Patrol the interior and exterior of the premises at regular intervals
  • Ensure doors & windows are secure
  • Ensure common areas and exterior lighting is in good working condition
  • Perform light cleaning duties
  • Respond to emergency situations
  • Investigate disturbances and report violations
  • Monitor and authorize entrance of tenants and visitors
  • Maintain general security of the property
  • Other duties as assigned by property manager

Qualifications:


  • Able to work independently
  • Experienced in conflict resolution
  • Good customer service skills and a pleasant demeanor
  • Able to communicate well with the public and liaise with the RCMP
  • An assertive personality
  • Clear criminal record check
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including overnight
