Staffing & Information Clerk - Regular Part Time (30 hours Bi-Weekly)

JOHN NOBLE HOME BACKGROUND


The
John Noble Home (JNH) is a "Class A" facility and has a proud and long-standing care-giving tradition, dating back to 1881.

Today, we offer several different quality programs devoted to senior housing, care, and services that operate within our care campus.

All meet and serve the needs of both Brant County and the City of Brantford and their respective constituents as we are a municipally operated and governed facility.

The John Noble Home consists of 156 long term care beds with planned expansion, a community-based day & stay program and senior's apartments.

This position will assist with the efficient and effective operation of the facility by maintaining the schedules by replacing absent employees, coordinating the scheduling of multi-disciplinary staff, recording and tracking sick calls, incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel.

Knowledge of different collective agreements. Works in accordance with all the policies and procedures of the John Noble Home.

While performing any and all duties of the position the employee will work in a safe and healthy manner and will follow the regulations outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act as outlined in the organization Health & Safety Policy, Infection Control and safe work procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):

  • Maintains master schedule
  • Updates and modifies schedules when required
  • Receives, records and arranges for replacement staff of all sick calls, utilizing job classifications and seniority lists as per collective agreement
  • Understanding all collective agreements
  • Update all forms for Staffing e.g., seniority call in sheets, priority sheets, etc.
  • Establishes an ongoing communication system for recording sick calls and their replacement for each department. Additionally, seeks advice from the Department Head regarding problematic issues
  • Perform clerical duties as needed
  • Develops and maintains an effective system for filing and record keeping

KEY QUALIFICATIONS (but not limited to):

  • One year certificate from college or technical school (Business/Computer skills); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent
  • Experience in Logistics, or scheduling is considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, including Word, Excel and Outlook

COMPENSATION:


SALARY RANGE:
$24.77-$26.01 hourly (30 hours bi-weekly)
