Responsabilities:


  • Design and execute experiments to determine the structure and function of fatty acid synthases using biochemical and biophysical techniques.
  • Develop new assays and protocols for studying the activity of these enzymes.
  • Collaborate with other researchers in the lab to advance projects and achieve project goals.
  • Analyze experimental data and interpret results to generate hypotheses.
  • Present research findings at scientific conferences and prepare manuscripts for publication.
  • Train and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in laboratory techniques.

Qualifications:


  • PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field within the past five years.
  • Strong background in protein structure and function research, with experience in protein expression, purification, and characterization.
  • Proficiency in biochemical and highresolution structure biology techniques. Familiarity with electron cryomicroscopy is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment.
  • A strong publication record in peerreviewed journals is a plus.
