Overview:


As the Strategy Portfolio Manager, you are a strategic advisor to the business units you support and have the opportunity to contribute to MPI's transformation by assisting in all corporate and divisional planning activities.

As a customer-centric, results oriented self-starter, you will be exposed to many professional growth opportunities in an evolving organization within a changing industry.

You will drive cross-divisional alignment between executives and business units to ensure business goals sync with corporate strategy and divisional actions match enterprise direction.

You will actively engage with business units in strategic planning and developing their long-term vision and associated roadmaps.

Your collaborative approach will ensure strategy is not only executed but also delivers short and long-term benefits by coordinating planning and delivery efforts across the Digital & Transformation Division, with the Agile Project Management Office (aPMO) and Enterprise Value Assurance teams.

Your business acumen and attention to detail provide tremendous value to the business units you support by translating industry trends into actionable insights, developing sound business cases and sharing progress against goals to enable the organization to celebrate achievements.


Responsibilities:


  • Contribute knowledge of strategic planning frameworks and understanding of corporate priorities to strategic planning and business planning activities.
  • Support the growth of the corporate strategic mindset by developing strategy related materials that drive engagement and alignment on corporate priorities.
  • Lead integrated strategic planning teams, leveraging corporate insights, performance metrics and industry best practices to achieve business outcomes via continuous improvement and creative problem solving.
  • Lead annual OKR (objectives and key results) activities that determine transformational commitments
  • Support initiative development and assessment including scope definition, strategic alignment and operationalization requirements by liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across the organization to coordinate the annual strategic cycle, manage the ongoing initiative pipeline, and inform all approval processes.
  • Create key strategy and planning documents used to facilitate actionoriented discussions with the Executive Committee and other working committees including creatively conveying data and analysis with charts, tables and other visuals in preread and presentation materials.
  • Investigate changes in performance with a collaborative approach and discovery mindset to uncover areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Assist with facilitating workshops and committee meetings, synthesizing input from leaders across the organization and following up on action items.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive sponsors, all levels of staff across the organization, external vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Digital & Transformation divisional peers on strategic planning, including identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for sharing best practices and evolving team processes to ensure efficiency and ongoing improvement of the Strategic Framework and service offerings of the Strategy Office.
  • Foster a highperformance team culture that is consistent with corporate vision, values and leading practices.
  • Govern the strategy to execution efforts in a Scaled Agile environment.
  • Ensure activities comply with Corporate Directives, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Commerce, Business, Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Seven years of related experience, including;
  • Three years in a leadership capacity in project or strategy delivery.
  • Five years at a senior business analyst level
  • Experience in product strategy/vision/roadmaps in a Lean-Agile environment is an asset.
  • Experience collaborating with or managing complex crossdepartmental teams in a Lean-Agile environment is an asset.
  • Creative, solutionfocused problem solver, with the energy and tenacity to work through complex systems with multiple challenges.
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Advanced relationship management, leadership and influencing skills to guide Leaders, Enterprise Architecture, Product Owners, Agile Release Trains, and all stakeholders to understand vision, resources, priorities and definition of completion/release.
  • Outstanding written and oral communications, engaging presentation delivery, and superior organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously with mínimal direction, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Customer service and results oriented with demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
