POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Chief Geologist, the Regional Exploration Geologist will be undertaking a support role for on-going surface exploration in surrounding properties in the Magino Gold Operation for the discovery of additional resources within the company's tenure.

He/she would start on August 15 to 31, 2024 and be offered a contract for six months.


CANADIAN PROPERTIES AND MAGINO MINE:
The company currently has 20 exploration projects and joint venture projects located in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

There is the Castlewood Lake, West Geraldton, Klotz Lake, Milestone and Adel gold projects in the Beardmore-Geraldton greenstone belt of northern Ontario, the Magino construction project in the Dubreuilville area of Ontario and numerous other regional projects throughout the Michipicoten Greenstone Belt, as well as two significant early-stage exploration projects in Quebec which Argonaut Gold Inc.

has equal strategic JV partnerships with two other junior mining companies.

The Magino Mine is currently in production with key milestones achieved including first gold pour in June 2023.

Located in northern Ontario, Canada, 88 kms northeast of Wawa and approximately 14 kms southeast of the town of Dubreuilville, this site contains a historical underground gold mine, and tailings management facility ("TMF").

The Magino Mine is an open pit mine which will produce approximately 150,000 ounces of gold per year during the first five years of production and has an expected 15-year mine life.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support role for geological mapping/prospecting/sampling, including taking a role in geological mapping on a property and a detailed scale.
• Update sample spreadsheets, report writing, and map digitization.
• Promote a clean and safe working environment for all staff.
• Comply with internal policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Log drill core and supervise drilling.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A degree in Geology/Earth Sciences
• 2 to 3 years of experience in surface exploration, with geological mapping/prospecting skills.
• Have proven technical expertise.
• Have a good sense of organization and attention to detail.
• Be a team player, be motivated and enjoy working in remote areas.
• Have a valid Driver's License (Employment with the company is provisional based on being able to be insured to drive company vehicles)
• Gold exploration experience specifically in Archean greenstone settings would be an asset.
• Industry standard GIS and 3D modelling experience in one or more of the following would be an asset: QGIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, Leapfrog, Geosoft Target, MS Office Suite.
• A registered P.Geo. or Registered GIT preferred.
• First Aid and ATV/UTV certification would be an asset.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• This is a Fixed Term position (6month term).
• The role is located proximate to the Magino Mine, which is approximately 88 kilometres northeast of Wawa, Ontario, Canada.
• The rotation will be varied between two options depending on time of year and work program requirements.
• Option 1: 10 hours per day, on a flexible 18 days in and 12 days off schedule.
• Option 2: 12 hours a day, on a flexible 15 days in and 13 days off schedule.
• Travel days are counted as days off.
