4 Month Internship:

Celestica's Family and Friends program is open to University/College students or recent graduates who want to build their resume with practical work experience during the summer.

Summer students will be involved in a variety of projects and opportunities to understand the team and function better. The role will work closely under the supervision of a team member.

Scope of the role will depend on the function and the complexity of the work assigned will vary depending on the individual.

About this Opportunity:

The summer student in this position will be paired up with a 3rd-year student on the Quality team.

Activities:

Primary Responsibilities:

Flowcharting/process mapping of key Quality operations
Operations Quality
Production Return Triage
Blocks (Stop ship, Stop build)
Operations deviation request management
Engineering Change Notice (ECN) coordination
SAP Manufacturer's Part Number Flowdown creation/updates
Aftermarket Services Quality Activities
Records Control and Management
Supplier Quality
Nonconforming material review and dispositions
ECN qualityspecific tasks
SAP POspecific level flowdown creation/updates
Return to Vendor process
Supplier Corrective Action Process
Vendor deviation requests
Supplier Performance/Quality Improvement Plans CaQM (Creating a Quality Mindset) training logistics assistance
Secondary Responsibilities:
Decision Support
Data analysis across transition, operations and/or vendor quality.
Backup for site Quality Reports

Physical Demands:

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).
