Scrum Master I


Your stock is rising as an Agile practitioner and you demonstrate it by supporting a team (or two), sharing and implementing your in-depth knowledge of Agile theory, methodology and techniques in a TD context.

You engage teams with tactics that enable them to execute and tackle complex problems and offer innovative solutions. And while you contribute and offer insight to your team's direction, the scrum is your domain.

You will ensure execution of sprints through key ceremonies such as daily scrums, sprint planning and retrospectives are on time and ready for their deadlines.

You establish performance for your team through continuous improvement, building your leadership skills and inspiring leadership in others.


Job Description:


About This Role


Highly skilled, the Scrum Master provides comprehensive knowledge in leading-edge theories, frameworks, and techniques for the Next Evolution of Work (NEW) and is responsible for supporting a network of professionals assigned to multiple Agile teams.

The key objectives for this role include the following:

  • First level Scrum Master capable of supporting a small number of teams (1-2 Agile teams).
  • Indepth knowledge/expertise in own domain/field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas.
  • Lead a small team of professionals assigned to Agile teams.
  • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Solely focused on Scrum Master responsibilities within assigned team(s).

Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate and enforce the Agile practices and ceremonies within the assigned team.
  • Drive continuous improvement and change for 12 Agile teams, acting as a change agent to adapt processes to maximize productivity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage appropriate stakeholders, with management direction, to identify and manage impediments and required outcomes of projects for the business.
  • Identify Agile team improvement opportunities and look externally for best practices to increase team productivity.
  • Ensure everything the Agile team is working on is acknowledged and accounted for in the Product Backlog to protect the team from distractions.
  • Manage 'Work in Progress Limits' to ensure the team is not working on too many stories/tasks at once and help them start and complete work in a predictable manner.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation, and teamwork and ensures timely communication of issues/points of interest.
  • Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for Agile execution and participate in capability building for the team and business unit.
  • Stay current on emerging trends/developments and build knowledge of the business and Agilerelated tools/techniques.

Here are the minimum requirements for this position:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Certified Scrum Master and 13 years of Scrum Master experience.
  • 5+ years of Agile experience.
