SCHOOL WINDSOR PARK COLLEGIATE
:

The term teaching assignment will commence September 3, 2024 to May 9, 2025 or one day prior to the return of the
teacher being replaced, whichever occurs first.

The Student Services teacher will work as part of a team to co-ordinate program implementation in the areas of academic
development, behaviour autonomy, social competency and transition planning for students 9 to 12.

Food/Nutrition and Textiles

This teaching position requires an individual who embraces collaboration and "team-teaching" and who will model effective
and visionary educational practices that nurture student needs to:

their environment; involve themselves directly in citizenship-based service learning opportunities in the community; and be

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Permanent Manitoba Teaching Certificate
  • Must have related Education in one or more of the areas of Human Ecology such as Bachelor of Human Ecology,
Bachelor of Home Economics, Bachelor of Human Ecology in Family Social Sciences, Bachelor of Science in
Human Nutritional Sciences, Bachelor of Health Studies, Bachelor of Environmental Design
- a minimum of five years of varied and successful teaching experience
- post graduate education in Special Education, Resource or counseling required; education in progress may be
- considered- experience working with and developing academic, behavioural, and social needs programs for adolescents with
- a range of special/differing abilities, with a focus on literacy/numeracy skill development- experience teaching a variety of high school curriculum
- experience in developing and implementing Individual Education Plan (IEP process) and experience in working
- with community access and job placements for a wide range of student needs
:

- must be able to organize and direct Educational Assistants- must be able to participate as a contributing member of the school-based Student Services Team and outside

agencies
:

- experience in crisis intervention and anger management techniques
