What You Will Do:

Working closely with our CFO and COO this position will provide excellent growth opportunity through a variety of responsibilities and initiatives depending on the business needs, areas of priority, business growth and is expected to include:

Financial Management & Insurance / Risk Management

  • Manage preparation of cash flow and liquidity planning process;
  • Assist in review of new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks;
  • Provide analyses, financial insight into the organization's financial plans, operating budgets, and financial results; and
  • Work with the overall insurance and risk management team dealing with the income producing portfolio throughout North American, construction projects and other insurance projects assigned from time to time

Accounting Management:


  • Coach, mentor and help develop a team of senior managers and/or directors, focusing on managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic;
  • Assisting and guiding larger, crossdivisional teams outside of direct span of control within the USA corporate accounting offices;
  • Engage and liaison with External Auditors and oversee the Internal Audit;
  • Assist with the preparation and ensure annual Financial Statement audit process in planned and completed;
  • Oversee and assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems;
  • Hire, develop and manage accounting directors, and senior managers;
  • Coordinate and strategize methods used to attain team goals with Regional Controllers;
  • Provide Executive leadership to Systems Team to ensure operational needs being met and objectives and structure is in line with strategic growth of the business and department; and
  • Act as Change Management facilitator as required due to ongoing growth of Onni USA.

General Matters:


  • Assist with income tax planning and corporate structuring;
  • Liaison with tax advisors on income and state tax planning;
  • Assist in collaborating with IT Systems teams and working with ERP Accounting systems;
  • Financial & Business Analysis;
  • Review financial operational results and collaborate with department executives on interpreting financial information;
  • Special projects; and
  • Any other duties assigned by executive staff

Qualifications:


  • CPA Designated Required
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence — ability to motivate staff.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problemsolving skills
  • Experience in financial and/or accounting roles at an executive level
