Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the Talent Acquisition Team for a 12-month temporary assignment (with the possibility of extension).

Job Overview
To be successful in this role, you bring your knowledge and skills in full cycle recruitment.

You have an understanding of the broader labour market and you can build and maintain strong relationships at all levels and have the confidence to ask hard questions when required.

You are flexible, able to multi-task and can prioritize your workload effectively.


Key Accountabilities

  • Advises Managers on strategic hiring practices and works collaboratively as an advisor to develop jobspecific recruitment strategies that align with our broader workforce plan;
  • Reviews and approves selection criteria for filling vacancies; evaluates assessment and selection tools and methods and confers with managers to determine the best data to collect and assess for final hiring decisions;
  • Manages fullcycle recruitment in collaboration with individual hiring managers;
  • Advises hiring managers and employees on recruitment policies, procedures, opportunities for career advancement and collective agreement interpretation.
  • Evaluates the success of recruitment initiatives through the use of Talent Metrics; recommends recruitment strategies based on metrics;
  • Researches recruitment best practices; and applies innovative approaches to ensure recruitment activities are aligned with BCA's mission and goals;
  • Liaises with the Union to ensure transparency and defend ability of all recruitment activity; documents all competitions with transparency and due diligence;
  • Utilizes Workday for all recruitment activity; reviews effectiveness and promotes continuous improvement with system utilization and associated processes;
  • Promotes and guides BC Assessment's employer brand through participation in career fairs, associations, sponsorships and maintaining working relationships with representatives from universities and colleges as well as leverages internal referral sources to assist with hiring.

Compensation:
$72,650 - $88,800 annual salary


Competition Close Date:

January 1, 2023**This position is excluded from the bargaining unit and may require modest travel a few times a year for career fairs or to visit regional offices within BC.


Qualifications
Education

  • University degree or diploma in Human Resources, Labour Relations or other related area; or Postsecondary certificate in Human Resources, Labour Relations or other related area may be considered.
Experience

  • Two years related experience (with degree), preferably in a unionized environment in recruitment or employment services; or
