Job Description:


What you can expect in a typical day:

As an Intermediate Financial Analyst, you will be an integral part of our finance team supporting the Chief Financial Officer and Refining & Supply Operations.

You will provide assistance with preparation and analysis of financial information and operational performance by supporting financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

Your roles and responsibilities:

  • Produce and support analysis and reports for the Corporate teams
  • Support preparation of forecasts through regular engagement with stakeholders
  • Provide primary support for the preparation and consolidation of the annual business plan
  • Financial and operational stewardship reporting and analysis
  • Produce and support quarterly reporting to the Audit and Finance Committee and Board of Directors
  • Adhoc reporting as required.

  • Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including senior leaders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good presentation skills.
Travel

Minimal travel is a requirement for this role.

Education and experience

  • Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in finance or accounting.
  • Possess or working towards a professional designation such as CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant).
  • Experience in Cognos/TM1 is an asset.
