Overview:

The IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing the organization's information technology (IT) initiatives.

This role involves liaising with our 3rd party IT partner, managing daily operations, and strategic planning related to technology infrastructure.

The IT Manager ensures efficient and secure IT systems, collaborates with other companies in the portfolio to ensure best practices and corporate policies are adhered.


Responsibilities:


1.


Infrastructure Management:

-
Microsoft 365 and SQL Servers: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams) and SQL Servers.

Network Infrastructure: Ensure the stability, scalability, and security networks in collaboration with 3rd party IT partner.

Virtualization Platforms: Oversee management of Microsoft Hyper-V environments.

Third-Party Vendor Liaison:


  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure, implement, and maintain IT solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and ensure vendor compliance.

Data Management:

Data Backup and Recovery: Review and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.

Database Administration: Administer Microsoft SQL databases, including security, performance tuning, and maintenance.

Data Governance: Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Security and Compliance:

Network Security: Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

User Access Control: Manage user/group permissions and access controls.

Compliance Audits: Prepare for and participate in IT audits across the companies in the portfolios.

Initiative Management:

IT Projects: Lead technology initiatives, such as network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.

Collaboration: Collaborate with each IT Functional group to establish key group objectives to improve efficiencies, security, and IT organization maturity.

Knowledge Sharing: Provide technical support to functional groups as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

Process Documentation: Create and maintain internal processes, procedures, and documentation.

Reporting: Provide regular updates to executive management on IT performance, projects, and risks.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience with multiserver network environments (Microsoft/Linux/Citrix).
  • Experience in administering MS365 products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic considered an asset.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience with hands on technical skills.
