About ADMAbout the Position**Ensure production activities are conducted in a safe manner while creating quality product in a timely fashion.

Operate processing machinery as assigned including, but not limited to:
lift trucks, hoists, and baggers.

Operate a batch mixing system, including but not limited to:
receiving and movement of products, barcoding and labeling. Gather product for production, filling bins / tote stations. Receive and load out bulk materials.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate processing equipment following established standard operating procedures
  • Maintaining ingredient bins / tote stations
  • Receive and load out bulk materials into the production system
  • Comply with all safety procedures
  • Comply with all quality programs
  • Produce finished product as per the production schedule at an optimum rate
  • Weigh and add various ingredients to the system according to formulation
  • Gather, weigh and palletize various bagged ingredients, frequently throughout the day
  • Mix batches at the prescribed time
  • Add various ingredients to micro bin system, frequently throughout the day
  • Maintain product in toting station, verifying product usage
  • Package finished product in bags or totes
  • Conduct general cleaning of the system, including but not limited to: elevator boots, magnets
  • Complete daily operator reports and report appropriate batch records
  • Operate a lift truck, hoist
  • Create barcode tags as necessary
  • Walk up and down stairs (up to ten stories) frequently throughout the day
  • Climb ladders (up to 35 feet), frequently throughout the day
  • Sample incoming loads, verifying cleanliness of the truck and the correct product, using fall arrest systems
  • On a quarterly basis, take bin measurements for bulk ingredients
  • Complete basic equipment maintenance and lubrication as required; report equipment malfunctions to the department manager
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to packaging and processing of products in production

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Accuracy in performing duties
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to operate a lift truck
  • Ability to use a hoist
  • Ability to use fall arrest and / or fall restraint equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds / 23 kilograms
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for 10 hours if necessary
  • Demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot problems
  • Demonstrate the ability to work without tasks, assignments, or under direction supervision
  • Must be willing to work overtime and occasional weekends when necessary

Education or Work Experience

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Related Industry Knowledge
