Purpose:


Responsibilities during Feasibility Phase:


  • Industrial or Mine infrastructure
  • Surface services
  • Processing facilities
  • Tailings/Piping corridor and storage
  • Product transport
  • Site access
  • Site security, temporary facilities, site storage, transportation and construction support infrastructure
  • Perform constructability reviews at completion stage gates.
  • Participate in all gated design reviews including risk management.
  • Review and support surface and subsurface infrastructure designs and modularization to support a minimum viable capital cost approach.
  • Develop temporary construction and handling plans/designs.
  • Develop detailed integrated construction schedules in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • Participate with a team of estimators and engineers in the preparation of CAPEX, SUSEX and OPEX cost estimates and reviews at the appropriate feasibility phase level of accuracy.
  • Participate in relevant client and project meetings.
  • Liaise with supply chain to support procurement planning as it relates to future execution planning.
  • Develop and implement construction execution strategies.
  • Liaise with customer's operations people to support and confirm construction execution strategies.
  • Maintain the Company's image to customers, public and other third parties by effective liaison and establishment of harmonious relationships
  • Comply with Company and Client secrecy agreements pertinent to Construction Operations
  • Support appropriate feasibility level reports and plans required to form the basis of estimate
  • Assist in the development of the Final Study report.
  • Participate as required in Worley proposals, estimates, organizational design and other such activities to assist in Worley being the EPCM of choice for the customer.

Responsibilities during future EPCM execution:


  • Responsible for representing Worley on site and liaising with customer, subcontractors and local government officials.
  • Manage CM execution at site in line with the delivery schedule, contract specifications and conditions.
  • Develop CM organization chart and mobilization schedule based on standard models, using standard job descriptions and titles.
  • Monitor day to day activities through weekly, monthly and quarterly progress meetings of Worley staff, subcontractors, JV partners and customer to facilitate achievement of targets.
  • Identify slippages and backlogs and formulate action plans to keep the project on schedule.
  • Ensure adherence to the project and corporate Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure adherence to project and corporate quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic internal quality audits for each discipline to verify the implementation of the quality management system.
  • Support the subcontractors and vendors by removing impediments to progress, assisting in the development of their schedules and work sequence, and ensuring that they have the materials, engineering deliverables, tools and resources required to complete their activities within the required time frames.
  • Implement Management of Change actions for all events that can potentially lead to a change in the project cost or schedule.
  • Ensures full participation of construction personnel in all project model and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure appropriate facilities are provided to employees such as travel, visas, special permits etc.
  • Manage construction and maintenance of temporary facilities and ensure wellbeing of the employees.
  • Develop and execute the Construction Management Team staffing plan.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the Construction Execution Plan and construction execution strategy, contributing to the contracting strategy and plan, field budget and schedule. Ensure that all site activities are carried out in adherence to these.
  • Implement the standardized construction work processes, procedures and systems, making project specific if required, and ensuring that quality system cross references these with ITR's.
