Assistant Manager, Commercial Underwriting

Your success stems from your ability to effectively lead a high performing team, implement strategies to improve efficiencies and maintain underwriting guidelines.

You have the opportunity to be part of a collaborative team, who contribute to the overall success of the business.

Here is what a typical day looks like

Provide guidance and coaching to your team, identifying a succession plan
Define and communicate underwriting requirements, implement workflows and processes
Consult with insurance companies, oversee authorization required for Insurance Division
Liaise with insurance companies, acturaries, and surveyors for risk assessment and product development
Continue selfdevelopment through industry and community involvement, training and other courses

The value you bring

General Insurance Level 2 License required
5 years experience with Personal/Commercial Line policies
Supervisory experience leading teams, preferably in insurance
Involvement in industry related associations and your community
Professional communication etiquette, both written and verbal
Well versed in navigating multiple computer programs at once

Full Time hours/week
