About Asitu'lɨsk

Formally known as Windhorse Farm, it is now Indigenous-owned and operated by the Ulnooweg Education Centre and has been renamed Asitu'lɨsk, which means "that which gives balance".

This enchanting natural and protected landscape is located on the south shore near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia in Branch LaHave of Wentzells Lake.

Nearly 250 acres of forest land are located within this picturesque setting, which includes 13 buildings, a greenhouse, abundant gardens, a beaver pond, streams and brooks in the forest, as well as open meadows and 22 kilometers of trails.

Under the registered charitable organization - Ulnooweg Education Centre, this remote forested land experience hosts a variety of guests and events in the form of Indigenous ceremonies, educational programs, camps, corporate retreats and sometimes available for private retreats in our forest cabins.

Over the next several years, this ever-changing environment will undergo a great deal of growth and change as we continue to create an inclusive space for Indigenous experiences.
