Position Description:

Ontario Shores is seeking a Psychomotrist with training and work experience providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to adults with depression and anxiety-related difficulties.

The Psychomotrist will deliver structured psychotherapy services to individuals and groups at a designated community location.

The Psychomotrist will possess strong clinical skills and expertise completing comprehensive assessments, administering mood and anxiety related measures, and delivering full courses of CBT.

They will be an active member of an interdisciplinary team, participate in a standardized training and clinical consultation curriculum, and will act as a resource for staff at their location.

Qualifications Required and Preferred
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED & PREFERRED:
Masters in Psychology, preferably counseling psychology
Be registered with the College of Psychotherapists
Have excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment are essential.
Current CPR HCP is required
Training, experience and practice in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) required.
Knowledge and experience working in an outpatient setting
35 years of recent experience in a mental health setting or service is preferred
Understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Mental Health Act and PHIPA is required
The ability to work with clients of diverse ethno racial and cultural backgrounds and proficiency in a second language is considered an asset
Comfort in utilizing an online learning management system
Must have the ability to perform the physical demands of the position
Variable hours may be required due to patient demand
