Job Summary


The specialist Enterprise Architecture (EA) governance is responsible for defining and managing required processes, policies, and procedures for the successful execution of IT architecture.

EA compliance efforts are focused on ensuring that the agreed-on viewpoints, principles and standards are realistic, realized and adhered to.

The specialist participates in creation and management of adequate framework, and continuously improve and automate it.

He/She will manage architecture gating, changes to architecture artifacts templates, dashboard creation to track architecture maturity and will support distributed architecture community.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage Weekly Solution Architecture Gating at different phases of I&T Operating Model:
Pre-screening activities prior the gating confirmation (documentation completeness, accuracy of architecture info captured.)

Provide solution gating feedback and engage with solution architects with their gating needs

Create summary solution architecture outcomes and connect with other Operating Model gates ( Operations etc)

  • Support Solution Architects distributed across I&T to better understand and adhere to the architecture framework
  • Optimization of Architecture framework (Automated flows, Update/Create new architecture artifacts templatesPositions, patterns, Process changes/creation)
  • Provide and evolve architecture dashboards and bring regular awareness/info session to architecture community
  • Provide support of the Architecture modelling tool and framework
Working Conditions

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a regular workweek from Monday to Friday (9am-5pm). The role may require occasional business travel ( < 5%) to Montreal HQ to meet the architecture team.


Requirements:


  • Education/Certification/Designation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Experience and Competencies

  • Minimum 35 years of relevant work experience
  • Impactful communications, leadership and adapts to the audience through speech and writing
  • Innovates through problem solving
  • Knows the business and stays current with industry trends to elevate expertise
  • Demonstrates organizational and planning abilities, including but not limited to decision making, problem solving and prioritization
  • Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to enable higher productivity
  • Works independently with little supervision and strong organization skills
  • Demonstrates analytical, strategic and critical thinking and a broad vision when making decisions
Familiar with key principles of Cybersecurity Governance Risk and Compliance

  • Continuous process improvement
  • Strong command of the office 365 suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint), Power Automate
  • Strong knowledge of Confluence and usage of Confluence Macros
  • Process mapping and managing agile sprints is a plus (Business Analyst experience)
  • Good knowledge of Data ETL (Extract, Transform and Load)
  • Knowledge in Tableau and PowerBi (or other reporting tools)
  • Knowledge of Architecture modelling tools ( Sparx is a Plus)
