A Brief Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Timetable & Registration Coordinator contributes to the day-to-day operation and is responsible for the effective planning and delivery of core activities for the Commerce Program, which include but are not limited to: timetabling of more than 300 Commerce program sections, enrolment, including block enrolment, registration, wait list management, course permissions, individual project courses, course catalogue maintenance and curriculum management, sessional dates and teaching evaluation.


The incumbent is the primary contact for information flow to and from the Office of the University Registrar for the assigned core activities.


The Timetable & Registration Coordinator works closely with the Commerce Student Services staff who are responsible for academic advising, accommodation, and consideration, but will not direct or oversee the work of other staff.

The incumbent assists the Exams & Degree Coordinator and Program Administrators during peak periods and as required.
This position coordinates the training of annual timetabling information sessions. This position provides support and advice on timetabling processes with departments. This position coordinates process for timetable preparation, submission, and verification by establishing academic blocks. This position creates queries and builds reports for data validation and consistency. This position also directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff."


Job Description:

" What you will do
Coordinates the training of annual timetabling information sessions.

Provides support and advice on timetabling processes with departments.

Coordinates process for timetable preparation, submission, and verification by establishing academic blocks.

Maintains documentation for current processes and software, updates when changes are implemented.

Creates queries and builds reports for data validation and consistency.

Prepares and maintains data within the timetabling software and other systems.

Update and maintain data retention and recordkeeping procedures.

Maintains website for timetabling function.

Directs, allocates, and supervises the work of other staff.
Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit. Required Education
Three-year Community College Diploma or Three-Year Bachelor Degree, or equivalent. Required Experience
More than 1 year and up to and including 2 years of experience.
Experience in planning and/or managing projects considered an asset. Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Knowledge and Requirements
