Summary


The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and training warehouse technicians, enforcing health and safety, promoting workplace policies, procedures, and best practices, preparing and organizing AV equipment for events to ship/return, loading/unloading trucks, and assisting with equipment inventory and maintenance.


Job Duties

  • Assist with the daily operations for warehouse
  • Enforce health & safety procedures and adhere to established safe working procedures and wear the proper safety equipment at all times
  • Supervise and train warehouse technicians
  • Ensure proper breaks and schedules are followed and enforced for warehouse technicians
  • Assist with resolving unreturned equipment reports
  • Assist with the creation and manage warehouse tasks lists for events, logistics, and warehouse duties with appropriate timelines
  • Maintain a strong system of organization
  • Ensure that inspection forms and daily reports are completed and submitted
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Scan and pack AV equipment to be delivered for events
  • Scan and return AV equipment to its place in the warehouse
  • Proper checks of equipment and ensure kits are complete
  • Ensure equipment is clean and in good working order
  • Tag and mark out equipment that needs attention
  • Assist with maintenance of AV equipment
  • Load/unload trucks as required
  • Provide coaching and issue verbal warnings to employees working under your supervision as required
  • Participate in the weekly rotation of Warehouse Manager on Duty
  • Other duties as required by company

Requirements:


  • High school diploma is required. Postsecondary education in event production, technical production, warehouse management, or equivalent training is preferred.
  • 2+ years of warehouse, production coordinator, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of lighting, audio, video, staging, and rigging equipment
  • Experience managing teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to adapt to new technology
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Experience using Flex Rental Solutions software is an asset
  • Working at Heights and MEWP Certification is an asset
  • Forklift Certification is an asset
  • Knowledge of current workplace health & safety regulations, fire & building codes, and AODA regulations in relation to the live entertainment industry is an asset
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is an asset
  • Commercial truck driving experience up to 26' box truck (5ton) is an asset
